Cameos in LIFE

Like me, I am sure we all believe ‘main apni favourite hoon’ concept…
How many times we have seen ourselves in the mirror and felt “we should have got that promotion/ that award” or “I could have done better than that chick/ guy”
Haven’t we rehearsed hypothetical speeches that we’d give if we’d win an award at the Oscars/ Film fare/ etc..
For us, we all give award winning performances every day. We all are our favorites. There ain’t anybody like us… right?

Look at your life closely.. Apart from the obvious few people who care for us and are there with their undivided support and attention.. Who all get us closer to where we wana be?
A huge lot of supporting actors. Special appearances. There’s always a someone playing a cameo in your life to make it for you.
And let’s forget the obvious people who’d be there always. Irrespective. This is for those people whom we have conveniently forgotten, but without whom we wouldn’t be where we are.

During every tough time,  there has always been a stranger, an acquaintance, a third party who directly/ indirectly acts as a catalyst.. a trigger to make you stronger… a cause for change. A cause for the restlessness. A cause for a transformation.
Could be competition in the form of a peer, that makes you perform better. Which helps you re-discover the inner potential in you?
Could be jealousy in the form of a better looking girl/ human being trying to hit on your guy. Which helps you feel stronger for your love, take him more seriously and less for granted?
Could be a child whom you are just observing when you’re about to quit on life. Just by seeing his unadulterated enthusiasm of life, may be that helped you to re-consider your decision to quit?
Could be a random conversation between two strangers in a train when you’re deep engrossed in your thoughts. May be that helped you sort out your mind?
Could be a person you’ve lost in life, his memories make you do certain good things?
Could be a character in a novel/ film/ real life hero which made you change the way you look at things?
Could be a person who gave us a long bhashan and vanished. But his words made sense. And which made you stronger?
Could be a jerk in your life who once said ‘ YOU cannot do that thing in your life”.. and which made you work towards your weakness and you finally did achieve it?

Honestly, let’s for a second think about all these people in our life? Do we even minutely remember them? Ever? Hardly/ barely right?
And look what they’ve done to us? J  They’ve helped us become what we are today. They’ve enabled the change.
Made us whom we are today. Or at least played a huge role in the process.

Other than the obvious few in our lives, there are these certain people who give special appearances in our bestseller life story. Who act as enablers, triggers for change. For our better. Directly or indirectly they transform us, leading us closer to where we've always wanted to be. Without which our life story would not be even worthy nominations. So here's to the cameos in our life, to make good things happen. :)

Dil toh bachha hai ji :)

Somewhere in a beautiful house a small fight between siblings i can see..
Hair pulling to pillow fighting... Pinching and all the verbal abuses that can possibly be..

The night was spent in crying and tears, but morning the elder sister kept a sorry chit near the younger one's
pillow n waited for her to see
As soon as the chit was seen, there were hugs and aplogies.. Then i just realised dil toh bachha hai ji..

small 5 year old kid crying and wailing 'i dont wana go to school dad'
just then supermom comes with a chocolate and chips and there goes a smiling grin with this lad

A granny was upset that she could not walk and go out to eat bhajiyas in the rain
But so what, her grand daughter appeared with two full plates of bhajias, the smile was worth it, nothing in wain

A fight between two best friends ended in a very bad note, they swore to never talk to each other then
But a i miss u message brought tears n smiles on their faces, aftr all they wer bestest frens

This stupid thing that beats within us..
What we call as heart... All it does is trust

it beats not only for itself but also for the people it loves and cares
all the sadness it can contain and the happiness it can share

Remember the heart is just like a child..
Its innocent and gullable, although at times it may get wild.
.
As quickly it gets angry, sooner it accepts you back..
Whenever in doubt quietly listen to your heart.. It will never let u go on wrong track.

Always try to make this beautiful thing happy, never let it wee
Coz howeverstrong it may appear.. Dil toh bachha hai ji..

Cheers

Someone noticed you, when you were busy being invisible

When you wore your worst clothes, think for a minute who stood by you
And whispered in your ears, hey princess you look your wonderful best in this attire too

When you failed in your exams… and you were all scared to face the world, felt like an end
There was someone who came and held your hand and said, we’re with you always in life’s every bend

When you screwed up in life… not once but at times a lot…
They did not scold you too much, instead reasoned out with you and helped you stand again strongly on the ground, so that you can give life another positive shot..

When you were so low and wanted to run away to a place where you knew no one
They even pretended so and let you be, so that you come out shining with a smile from that hatred bun

When you cried like a cute baby while watching your favourite movie and that spoilt your make up
Someone kissed on your forehead and said nothing and just held your hand and got you a coffee cup

For all those times when you’ve almost given up inside you
Some force got you back to life and smiling have you guessed how did all that happen too?

All those times when you wanted to run away or you were actually invisible…
There was someone always with you during all those times. Rock solid. Telling you to be strong. At times even being your strength for you.
These are the very constants in your life. Think about all those people who have been in such ‘invisible you times’.
NEVER LET THEM GO FROM YOUR LIFE.
Coz you are standing today happy and grounded only coz of these people…
If they would not have noticed you when you were busy being invisible, high chanced you would lead an invisible life.
Here’s to all those who have stood by me J
I’m blessed to have you’ll in my life…
